An international delegation consisting of more than 80 agents and teachers from abroad visited Brock University in late April for the “Study in Niagara” event.
At the event, participants were able to explore academic programs at the university, student services, and the global engagement strategy of the university. Some of the sessions held by professors at the university involved business in the age of artificial intelligence, advising science students, and research and innovation at the university.
Participants met the International Student Recruitment team at the university, and a session was organized regarding services for international students. Participants were taken on a tour of Engineering labs, Nursing simulation facilities, and the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute. A robotics exhibition highlighted the university’s focus on hands-on learning.
Students participating in the international co-op program spoke on a panel discussion on student experience, academic support, and career opportunities. The panel was moderated by the Co-op and Career Education team.
Associate Vice-President, International, David Begg said internationalization goes beyond recruitment and focuses on building meaningful, long-term relationships to ensure student success. He added that the university’s strategic plan calls for celebrating impact, unlocking potential, and shaping global minds together.
Director of International Student Recruitment Anna Guo said the event reflected Brock’s strength as a connected campus community. She noted that the collaborative effort across departments aimed to deliver an outstanding experience for international students and global partners.
