The University of Texas at Austin has continued to rank among the top institutions for graduate education in the United States, according to the latest “Best Graduate Schools” rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. The university has 50 graduate schools and speciality programs placed in the top 10 nationally, including 13 in the top five and three ranked number one.

The rankings show strong performance across several disciplines, with all Computer Science programs placed within the top 10. The institution has also secured top 10 status for her four other major colleges like Education, Engineering, Geosciences and Pharmacy.

Two speciality programs achieved the top national rank. Information Systems earned the number one spot for the first time, while Petroleum Engineering continued its long-standing position at thetop. Several programs turned to increase their respective rankings this year, most noticeably in computer science and education.

Artificial Intelligence and Computer Systems achieved higher rankings while Theory maintained its position in the top 10. The Education field experienced major progress through improvements in Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education. The Jackson School of Geosciences also climbed higher, with multiple specialities ranking among the top five nationwide.

Other areas, such as Clinical Psychology, recorded a major jump, moving up several positions. The university maintained strong placements across business, law, science, and social science programs as well.

The ranking body stated that it evaluates graduate programs using expert surveys and key performance indicators such as research output, student quality, and job outcomes. The latest results highlight the university’s continued focus on academic strength and research excellence across disciplines.
